Wishbone Yarns October Visit - see you there?

Lily Turner (and her beautiful Wishbone yarns) are just a month away from being in the Bay Area. This is truly a once in a lifetime chance to meet Lily, get to see her incredible yarns in person and hear the story of that led to their creation. The contours of the South African Karoo are ancient, distinctive - and very far away. Bringing a small piece of this magical place to our knitting community is a dream for me - and Lily. We feel so fortunate to be able to make it happen - and I hope we can share it with many of you.

If you have ever tried and succeeded - or failed - to buy these yarns at her monthly shop update - let me assure you that there is never a disappointing skein. Whether you are a seasoned collector - or seeing these for the first time, you will find them to be even more luminous in person than they appear on the screen and Lily’s talents are rare and striking. There are many indie-dyers - and there are a few whose craft puts them into a different echelon. Wishbone is one of a kind even in this universe. Lily’s ability to interpret and understand how to use these colours that she can create in patterns is eye opening.

There are two in person day long events on October 4 and October 10. There are a couple of spots open on October 10 for anyone who is still procrastinating about whether this is for them …. time is now limited and final details about our special event project are almost nailed down. If you are going to join us, please sign up now, or contact me to discuss so we can make sure that you will be included in all the plans and won’t miss out on any of it! We have some special and unique surprises in store.

In addition to these 2 deep dive opportunities, we are planning a yarn pop up and meet and greet at Fiber Circle Studio in Petaluma on October 8. Details about this event will shortly appear via Fiber Circle Studio’s website and newsletter so if this is something you might be interested in, please keep in touch with me and Alisha to make sure you don’t miss out.

Again, this is Lily’s final schedule for her trip to the United States - 3 special times only. We are so hopeful that she will get to meet as many of you as can make it here to the San Francisco Bay Area in October and we look forward to connecting you to her beautiful yarns, inspirations and skills in person. Please join us.
